The design, explained
A dark star on a bright background.
Typically we only see stars as the bright spot on a dark background. So why the swap?
As you may have heard, when a star collapses it becomes a black hole, sucking in all the light around it. The ultimate killjoy. But once there was a star that started collapsing and suddenly decided it was not going to go to the dark side. It was going to resist. At that point it was stuck in limbo. Not really a star. Not a black hole. A dark star. And then it watched some inspirational TED talks and read some great books and had some mentoring from other stars, and miraculously was brought back to the light. And now we refer to it as the sun.
True story.
